Memorial for the Missing

Experience, embodied

The proposal treats truth as a shared construct — something that comes into being only when lived, spoken, and exchanged. Yet in the case of the Missing, the event remains unresolved, the knowledge incomplete, the experience private and unverified. Memory oscillates between concealment and revelation, never settling, never fully understood. It persists in fragments — blurred, suspended, exquisite in its uncertainty.

The memorial is conceived as a linear urban landscape of memory, unfolding along the road. Its geometry expresses the folds and tensions of remembrance, naming and framing its own dimensions. The boundary it draws — between street and garden, between what is real and what is symbolic — allows both to coexist without hierarchy.

Light, both natural and artificial, animates this threshold, rendering the invisible visible for brief moments. The visitor’s passage — from pavement to garden — becomes a quiet act of translation: the turning of inner emotion into physical experience.

The proposal does not claim to deliver truth. It prepares for it — creating a space for dialogue, for communion, for the transformation of personal pain into collective understanding.
