GT53 House is a home built from gratitude — a son’s gesture to his parents that also absorbs their quiet expectations. Set on the edge of Paiania, east of Athens, it holds two bedrooms and the promise of future growth. Its proportions borrow from the Athenian polykatoikia, reinterpreted at the scale of a single dwelling. A south-facing corridor wraps the rooms, drawing light deep inside and extending life outdoors through a rhythm of patios. Within, spaces stay in dialogue — sightlines connect rooms across courtyards, keeping family voices within reach. The curved glazing at the corner gathers view, reflection, and shade, inviting both the gaze and the passage of time. GT53 speaks softly to its neighbourhood, aware of its presence, yet content to listen as much as it is seen.
